Based in South East London, I have a gentle, creative and down-to-earth approach to psychotherapy. I offer short and long term work with clients who have experienced childhood trauma, are suffering after a relationship breakdown or struggling with feelings of depression, anger or anxiety. Core process psychotherapy helps us get back in touch with our core self or true nature by becoming aware of our early life conditioning and letting go of unhelpful habits and patterns of thinking and behaviour that contribute to our suffering.

My approach

My work is underpinned by Buddhist principles of mindfulness, compassion and unconditional acceptance. I believe we are all inherently healthy, whole and wise but it is easy to lose sight of this as we are overcome by life events. I pay attention to the body-mind relationship and often focus on awareness of the body in the present moment as a way to get in touch with memories of life experiences that have been stored in our bodies long after our minds have forgotten them and begin the process of letting go.

Background

I graduated from the Karuna Institute (Bristol) in 2025 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy and am currently in the final accreditation process with the UKCP. Before starting in private practice, I worked as a placement therapist at the Spiral Therapy Centre in north London for three years and as a Mindline volunteer. Originally from South Africa, my background is in drama teaching and life coaching. I welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community.
