Based in Holloway, I offer a warm, collaborative and mindful approach to therapy, both in person and online.

Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to take time out, and be accompanied in reflecting on, and being with, the parts of our experience that are troubling us or that we are having a hard time understanding. We might be coming to therapy with a sense that we want to change something in our life – a recurring kind of emotional pain or situation that keeps coming around and causing us suffering. Or maybe something happened to us that we are struggling to recover from and we need some support in working it through. Or maybe we don’t really know exactly what is going on, but there’s a sense that something is not quite right for us and we want to take some time to explore what that might be.

Being a therapist is about being fully present with, and deeply listening to clients. There is tremendous power in being accompanied and heard and many of us have never had that experience. I work collaboratively with clients, bringing warmth and understanding, and a curiosity about just how it is (or was) for you – what happens for you and how this affects you.

A mindfulness-based approach is spacious, free of judgement, and invites you to bring attention to the parts of yourself that have tended to be hidden or neglected. Whatever is happening for you – or has happened to you – can be explored at a pace that feels safe but insightful, avoiding overwhelm and building a strong sense of inner resource. This is a trauma-informed approach that acknowledges the importance of pacing and resourcing.

I am always curious to hear about your experience of being in the world – what it’s like to be you. I see how healing this can be for clients, to have a space where it is allowed and encouraged to freely explore the whole of their experience. Therapy offers the possibility of seeing, feeling and connecting the many different parts of ourselves that have become scattered or lost to us. In reconnecting within ourselves, we naturally find more connection outside of ourselves, enriching our lives and expanding our feeling of wellbeing.
