I’m Kathryn, a psychotherapist offering mindfulness-based, relational psychotherapy and clinical supervision in Bristol, working from comfortable therapy rooms in Harbourside, Southville and Clifton Village, as well as online.

Reaching out for help takes real courage. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected from yourself, therapy can provide a grounded space to understand what’s happening inside you and move toward meaningful change.

I offer a warm and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, develop self-awareness, and begin to feel more at home in yourself.

My Approach – Psychotherapy

My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, relational and embodied approach, integrating mindfulness, gentle body awareness and talking therapy. Together we will pay attention to your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and patterns of relating — helping you understand what shapes your inner world and how you can move toward greater ease.

Therapy with me can help you to:

  • Feel more confident asking for your needs to be met

  • Establish healthy boundaries and comfortably say no

  • Reduce anxiety in social or relational situations

  • Cultivate self-esteem and release cycles of shame and guilt

  • Understand the origins of your anxiety, stress or low mood

  • Recognise patterns of self-sabotage

  • Let go of coping strategies that no longer serve you

  • Build a deeper sense of meaning and connection in your life

Issues I Work With

I specialise in supporting people who carry unresolved childhood experiences, trauma or attachment wounds, and I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, stress and panic attacks

  • Low self-esteem and self-criticism

  • Relationship issues and attachment patterns

  • Anger, frustration or emotional overwhelm

  • Somatic symptoms and mind-body distress

  • Depression and feelings of numbness or disconnection

  • Shame, guilt and longstanding emotional pain

  • Life transitions, redundancy or relocation

  • Grief, loss and bereavement

  • Trauma and PTSD related to past experiences, including abusive or controlling relationships

You may relate to one or several of these experiences — or simply have a sense that something in your life doesn’t feel right. Therapy can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and move toward change.

My Approach – Clinical Supervision

I work with a diverse range of professionals who engage in therapeutic or relational work, including psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, medical professionals, teachers, and others in helping roles.

I am committed to providing a reflective and supportive supervisory space that fosters professional growth, ethical practice, and emotional resilience. Within a safe and confidential environment we can explore casework, deepen clinical insight, and navigate the complexities of therapeutic relationships. Supervision is not only essential for ethical and effective practice—it’s also a vital tool for preventing burnout, fostering professional resilience, and deepening your clinical insight. No matter if you’re newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, my goal is to support your development and wellbeing every step of the way.

Whether you’re in clinical practice, education, or a community-based setting, supervision offers a supportive space to reflect on your work, manage complex dynamics, and maintain ethical and emotional resilience.

I work with supervisees both in person at my Bristol based practices and online using Zoom.
