I am an accredited psychotherapist, offering mindfulness psychotherapy, counselling, and supervision services since 2003. For new clients, I recommend starting with six sessions, after which we can review the progress and discuss how the sessions have been helping the client. I also provide feedback on how I think the counselling has been working for the client. I offer both short-term and long-term counselling services. Short-term sessions are focused on helping clients cope with immediate issues, while long-term sessions are helpful when a client has identified patterns of behaviour that are unhealthy or unhelpful. As a person-centred humanistic psychotherapist, I provide services to individuals and couples. I received my training at the Karuna Institute in Devon, which is part of the HIPC Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College. I also work as a supervisor and offer both short-term and long-term focused counselling services.

Supervision

Supervision for individuals and small groups
I can provide supervision for individuals and small groups and hold a Certificate in Mindfulness-based Supervision, and trained in Bath with OPAL (Organisation People and Learning). You can find me on the UKCP Supervisory Directory.

I offer Supervision to health professionals as individuals and in small groups.
Supervision is a working alliance between two professionals where supervisees offer an account of their work, reflect upon it, receive feedback, and receive guidance where appropriate. The object of this alliance is to enable the worker to gain in ethical competency, confidence and creativity so as to give the best possible service to clients.
Inskipp and Proctor, 2001

I am influenced by the Inskipp and Proctor Model of Supervision. The Contemplative approach to Supervision; body, speech and mind is useful. Where appropriate, I use the Seven-Eyed model from Hawkins and Shohet.

For Supervising small groups I tend to favour authoritative group supervision, but can work with participative group supervision.
