I am a Core Process Psychotherapist in my final year of training. My approach integrates mindfulness with Western psychotherapy, offering a compassionate and reflective space for you to explore what feels challenging or stuck in your life. Together, we’ll work to untangle reactive patterns and discover choices that feel authentic and empowering.

At the heart of this process is a safe, respectful, and collaborative relationship. I bring over 20 years of experience in the charitable sector, working with issues such as substance use, loneliness, and end-of-life care. These experiences, alongside my ongoing professional development, inform my practice and allow me to offer grounded, insightful support.

I welcome adults for reduced-cost sessions in central Bristol. Whether you’re new to therapy or revisiting it, I invite you to explore this site and reach out if you’d like to discuss how we might work together.

My Approach
As your therapist, I aim to create a space where we can explore the areas in your life that feel difficult, stuck, or confusing. I am not here as an “expert” to tell you what to do but as a companion in a collaborative process of discovery. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your own inherent wisdom and building trust in your inner resources.

Our work together is grounded in mindfulness and reflective inquiry. This means we approach your experiences—whether thoughts, emotions, or bodily sensations—with curiosity, compassion, and an openness to what unfolds. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to feel in therapy, and the space we create together is one of acceptance and presence.

While my own background is inspired by Buddhist practices in the Mahayana Maha-Ati lineage, you don’t need to be a Buddhist to engage in this work. Instead, I draw on the universal principles of awareness, connection, and authenticity to support your healing journey. My approach also considers how your unique life circumstances, including culture, sexuality, and identity, shape your experiences. I strive to work inclusively, with sensitivity to differences and a willingness to learn from each client I meet.

Core Process Psychotherapy
Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) uniquely combines mindfulness with Western psychological approaches. Rooted in Buddhist psychology, this method offers a safe space to explore and release reactive patterns, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and foster personal transformation. CPP works holistically with mind and body, helping you uncover greater clarity about your emotions and behaviours.

Through reflective inquiry and mindful awareness, CPP supports meaningful growth and healing. This is not about “fixing” but about learning to relate to yourself with curiosity, compassion, and courage. Whether short-term or long-term, this process is tailored to meet your needs.

What to Expect
Therapy sessions are collaborative and paced to your comfort. We’ll create a space to pause, reflect, and bring awareness to whatever arises—thoughts, emotions, or sensations. Whether sitting comfortably in chairs, on cushions, or moving around, the session adapts to what feels most supportive.

I’m here to help you explore with curiosity and without judgment, fostering trust in your inner wisdom. You don’t need to be familiar with mindfulness or Buddhist practices—this is about meeting you where you are and supporting your unique journey.

Appointments and Rates
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but I offer a free initial phone consultation and a 30-minute meeting to explore your needs and answer any questions. We can decide together if short-term sessions or open-ended exploration is the best fit for you. Sessions last an hour and are typically held weekly, at £45 per session.

If after our initial commitment of six weeks you feel this work isn’t what you’re looking for, we’ll explore other options and resources that may be more suitable.

Commitment to Professional Standards
I regularly participate in clinical supervision and professional development courses to ensure that my practice remains informed, ethical, and effective. This ongoing learning supports both the quality of the therapy I offer and my personal growth as a practitioner.

I strictly adhere to current policies on confidentiality and data protection and am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). To ensure your safety and trust, I hold professional indemnity insurance and follow the ethical codes of the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists (ACPP), The Karuna Institute, and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Go down the steps, not up.

The Harbourside Practice Talking Therapy Rooms are just off the A4, Redcliffe Hill, which is a dual carriageway with a roundabout at each end so to turn left off Redcliffe Hill and into Redcliffe Parade East you have to be coming from the Bedminster end towards town.

As you go along Redcliffe Hill you’ll see St Mary Redcliffe church on your right and a large white hotel on your left (Mercure Hammond).

Turn left into Redcliffe Parade East just as you pass the hotel. The Colloseum pub is on that junction (so if you drive past it, just go round the roundabout, back up the hill and round the other roundabout and back again).

Drive 100 yards up the road and No 3 is (oddly) the second house on your left. It has green doors and the entrance is down the steps to the basement which is where the waiting room is.

There’s a car park literally over the road from the house so give your sat nav our post code, BS1 6SW, and it will take you to it. It’s a municipal car park and costs £2.70 for an hour’s parking. It’s a Pay & Display car park and you can pay with cash or via RingGo.
